Glow - The App For Neurodivergents

Glow is an app that provides people with ADD & ADHD a safe community, reliable resources & accommodating tools that help them thrive. Glow’s identity is represented with a bioluminescent, or “glowing”, jellyfish. My idea for this app concept stemmed from the current need of spaces for organization, education, and community for neurodivergent adults, as there is currently a significant lack in platforms that address these topics for those struggling with ADHD in adulthood. I wanted to create a concept that embraces the uniqueness and individuality that neurodivergents illuminate, while communicating the goal of the app: to create a calm & safe space that flows through time, provides endless resources, and is grounding.

The app's design is a hybrid of several successful app designs that are both current and non-traditional approaches to task manager apps. Glow allows users to create task-timelines for their day by assigning each segment of their day to a color, and syncing that color in the app to their lamps, apple watches, Google Calendars, and other accessories. The color-changing light model creates a non-disruptive visual cue to transition into a new task, and celebrates the completion of tasks throughout the day. The app also features a community tab where users can find new information from reliable sources and join conversations with other like-minded people.
